Bio-Plasticizer

Bioplasticizers are typically applied by blending them directly with the base polymer, such as PLA or starch-based plastics, before or during the compounding process. This is usually done using equipment like a high-shear mixer, internal mixer, or twin-screw extruder to ensure uniform dispersion. During processing, the mixture is heated to facilitate proper integration of the bioplasticizer into the polymer matrix. The typical dosage range is 5–30% by weight, depending on the desired flexibility, mechanical properties, and compatibility with the polymer. This results in enhanced softness, processability, and durability in applications such as packaging, agricultural films, and disposable products.
